How long is the lesson? 1.5 hours on length - this will include guided instruction on land and paddling out on water.

What is the price? $45 (no taxes), to be paid in cash in person.

Do I need to know how to swim? Ideally, yes. You will be given a PFD (personal floatation device) to wear.

What is the quality and temperature of the water like? Depending on land temperature, the water temperature is quite mild to cool. Please bring a change of warm clothes in case you do submerge into the water. The water is safe to swim in and it is highly improbable that you will accidentally fall in.

What is included in the price of my lesson? Your equipment rental is included: a paddle, board with leash, and a personal floatation device. I will be leading you on land and in water with guided instruction for 1.5 hours in total.

What should I wear? Wear your swim suit and option to layer up in shorts and a tank-top. You may also wear a rashguard if you have one, but this is not required.

What should I bring with me? Bring sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, water, and a snack. Bring a change of clothes or warm layers to put on after the lesson.  Leave all large valuables at home. We will have drybags to store your keys and phones.

What happens if the weather is bad? I will check the weather 24 hours in advance leading up to the hour of the lesson. We will reschedule if it is too windy, thunderstorming, or too cold.

What times are available? Typically, early mornings and late afternoons to evenings are less windy and make for more ideal learning conditions for beginners. Click to view upcoming available times here.

Benefits of being on the water include feelings of calm, alleviates chronic fatique, reduces stress and anxiety, enhances balance and proprioception, and is a stimulating and fun workout to do with friends!
